Getting to Squamish
Fly into Vancouver International Airport (YVR). Squamish is about an hour and a half from the airport and an hour from downtown Vancouver.
P.S. Canada is its own country, not the 51st state. Americans, please pack your passport :)
By car
We recommend renting a car. The Sea-to-Sky Highway runs between the ocean and the mountains, and it's one of the most beautiful drives in the world. Stop at the lookouts along the way, and if you can, stay a few extra days to explore British Columbia. Plan the drive: Getting to Squamish.
By bus
The Skylynx bus runs from the airport directly to Squamish. Book the Skylynx bus. From downtown Vancouver, the Squamish Connector and BC Connector also run daily buses. More options: Getting to Squamish.
Once you're here, we think Squamish is best explored by car. If you'd rather go without one, there are local buses, shuttles, taxis and ride-hailing services: Getting around Squamish without a car.
Accommodation
Where to stay
We recommend arriving Friday if you can. It gives you time to settle into Squamish before the wedding.
Summer is peak season in Squamish. Mountain bikers and hikers come from all over the world, and rooms fill up fast.

You'll have many more hotels to choose from, but you'll be further from the wedding: about an hour's drive on the day. Text Laura or Eric if you'd like recommendations.
Airbnb is another popular option. If you're not sure where to stay, reach out to Laura or Eric directly.
We'll share more accommodation ideas closer to the date, including any extra room blocks or Airbnb location suggestions.
